There is weather coming. I can hear the wind in the trees high up on the hill. Down by our house, all is still. Pale sunshine hits the ground. I have things to do in the office but they can wait until later, after the rain starts. For now, I want to be out. For now, I want to be riding.
I drive over to my horses’ paddock. Across the high ridge the wind pushes at the vehicle. But down the hill through the forest and to the paddock, it is calmer. I throw hay out in the paddock and halter Panache.
