Interesting. I paused when I used that term wondering how widely known it would be. It's one of those terms that gets bandied around in certain circles as if everyone knows what it means. There are also poddy calves. And sometimes they're all just 'poddies'. You have made me realise that I have no idea where the term comes from!

I was “today” year’s old when I learned the phrase “poddy lamb.” Glad to see the little one doing well. Seems like your dog has a new best friend!
